Wellington College International School Astana (formerly Haileybury Astana) is a leading British international school in Kazakhstan, delivering a UK-based curriculum within a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking learning community. We are currently inviting applications from experienced and passionate educators who are interested in joining our Junior School in the near future.

Important note: During the 2026/27 academic year, the school will continue to operate under the Haileybury Astana name and brand. From summer 2027, the school will transition to the Wellington College International brand. For our teachers, this means the opportunity to join us at a particularly exciting moment - becoming part of the school’s next chapter from the very beginning.

We are particularly interested in colleagues who demonstrate:

• Excellent knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curricula;
• The ability to inspire and bring out the best in others;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across a range of stakeholders;
• A deep understanding of excellence in Teaching & Learning, with evidence of positive classroom impact;
• Experience in planning sequences of learning that meet the needs of all learners, including high attaining, SEN, and EAL students.

Remuneration Package (subject to eligibility):

• Initial interviews for longlisted candidates will be conducted online by the Head and Deputy Head of the Junior School.
• Informal discussions may be offered to suitable candidates on a rolling basis.

The preliminary deadline for applications is 2nd of November, although the school reserves the right to make an appointment before this date.

Haileybury Astana is preparing to become Wellington College International School Astana, joining the global Wellington College International family. During 2026/27, the school will continue to operate as Haileybury Astana, with the transition to the Wellington brand planned for summer 2027.
