About Wellington College International School Almaty (formerly Haileybury Almaty)
Why Teach at Wellington College International Almaty? (Formerly Haileybury Almaty)
Haileybury Almaty is entering an exciting new era. We are joining the global Wellington College International family, and during the summer of 2027 we will become Wellington College International School Almaty. For teachers, this means joining at a pivotal moment becoming part of the school's next chapter. You are not joining a school starting over, rather joining a successful school that is evolving. We are building on the people, expertise, and high standards already established, while gaining a global network, thought leadership, and professional collaboration that Wellington College International brings.
Established in 2008, Almaty is a well-regarded school with a strong academic reputation with close to 800 students (Reception-Year 13), offering IGCSE and A Level. We provide an outstanding education rooted in the traditions of British independent education, yet maintaining a strong connection to Kazakhstan and its culture.
Our graduates progress to leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, MIT. Alongside academics, students enjoy sport, music, drama, Model United Nations and Duke of Edinburgh Intl. Award.
